Hello, my name is Anthony, and I'm someone who loves to start creative projects and very rarely finishes them. I've dabbled in a lot of different things, but I wouldn't say I am really "good" at any of them (some better than others, but probably "O.K." at most).
The about page pretty much sums up my intent for this forum, but as for me personally: I like to dabble in creative projects and learn new things. I love the feeling of making something, and watching someone else use it - I think that is such a great feeling :)
I tend to invest a lot of my time and energy when I first take on a project (whether that be something I want to create, simply dive into researching a topic, or even just planning out an idea in my head) but quickly burn myself out. I used to always struggle with the fact that I would give 150% on something, but only in short bursts, unable to maintain long term projects. While I have largely improved at finding ways to stay motivated and engaged for longer projects - to some extent I have accepted this fact as part of my nature, and have instead began to shift my mindset on how I am best able to utilize this part of my character to my advantage.
All of that personal info, simply to state that I used to always envy people who could stick with a single passion (be it in a field of art, science, or etc) and truly master their skillset - but instead I have come to terms with the fact that I am someone who dabbles in various things for short periods of time, becoming more of a generalist. . . or more so a "jack of all trades, and master of none".
Here are some of my past and/or present interests, to name just a few that I can think of:
3D Modeling/Animation, Web Development, Tabletop Game Design, Game Development, Graphic Design, Stop Motion, Clay Sculpting, Programming, Sociology, and intensively researching random interests until I completely and utterly lose interest . . . and probably a lot more I forgot about.
Some software that I have used to various levels of competency at some point or another:
Blender, Godot, FreeCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, DragonFrame (stop motion), Inkscape, Gimp, Unity (Barely), and probably a lot more that I can't remember at the moment.
All in all, I love learning new things and helping in small ways when I can. I have found that throughout my creative journey that I have mostly excelled in various aspects more-so as a "project manager" (not in a professional sense, but more so for hobby projects) due to me having just barely enough knowledge in different fields to communicate with different people.
Anyways, that's about all I have for now. Hope to see some more users here soon!
